Mersey Gateway Tolls

In 2015 the Tory Government promised Warrington residents that they would not have to pay tolls on the Mersey Gateway bridge. That promise was broken almost immediately after the General Election leaving local commuters having to pay to use this vital crossing.

Faisal has been joined by other local MPs and Liverpool City Region Metro Mayor Steve Rotherham calling for the Government to make the Halton bridges toll-free. But the Tory Government once again continues to refuses to do the right thing for the North West.

Faisal is adamant that local people should be able to move freely across our area. This is why he will continue to demand the removal of the Halton bridge tolls for Warrington South residents and will continue to demand that essential and long that essential and long overdue maintenance is carried out on our crucial swing bridges.
